We lost power during Irene.
We had to chuck most of the contents of our fridge and freezer.
It was unfortunate but also a good feeling to get rid and
scrub the whole darn thing.
It's clean and sparse...
no longer stuffed with
frozen soup from who knows when
and old leftover freezer burned hamburger buns.
I now hope to make a conscience effort to buy less
and buy fresh.
